2. What types of notarizations can a California Notary perform?

3. How much can a Notary charge in California?

4. What do I need to bring to have something notarized?
You must bring the unsigned document and a valid, government-issued photo ID (such as a California driver’s license, state ID, or passport).
5. Can a Notary give legal advice or help draft documents?
No. California Notaries are not allowed to give legal advice, prepare legal documents, or tell you which type of notarization you need. For that, consult an attorney.
6. Can a Notary refuse to notarize a document?
